ESSAY CONTEST FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES: AITKIN, CASS, CROW WING, MILLE LACS, MORRISON, TODD & WADENA. SEE THIS FORM FOR COMPLETE CONTEST RULES. CONGRATULATIONS TO MARGAUX DOUVIER AND SHANNA BETH BRENHAUG WHO WERE HONORED AT THE FESTIVAL AS THE TOP TWO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS FOR THEIR STAGGERFORD ESSAYS.
2. CALL FOR PROPOSALS OPEN NOW FOR MINNESOTA COLLEGE STUDENTS TO PRESENT AT THE 2015 HASSLER FESTIVAL. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS APRIL 1, 2015. PLEASE SEE THIS FORM FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THIS CALL FOR PROPOSALS. THE FESTIVAL IS SUNDAY, JUNE 14 BUT THE STUDENT PRESENTATIONS WOULD BE MONDAY, JUNE 15. PLEASE REVIEW ALL THE RULES AND REGULATIONS LISTED ON THAT FORM. CONGRATULATIONS TO JAMIE OSBORN WHO WAS HONORED AT THE FESTIVAL. HER POSTER PRESENTATION WAS ACCEPTED AND WAS ON DISPLAY AT THE FESTIVAL. HER PRESENTATION WAS ALSO ON STAGGERFORD AND WAS TITLED "SEVEN SMALL TOWN SINS OF STAGGERFORD". POST BACHELOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES 3. We have a CEU certificate available for 1.6 CEU credits for conference attendees if they would like to have that documentation. The certificate is $5 (on top of the conference fee) and can be paid for at the start of the conference. See Kari at the start of the conference. Registration for the conference is still necessary and should be done in advance of the conference deadline. 4. We are also pleased to announce that we have secured a graduate level credit from the School of Education at the College of St. Scholastica. The course is EDU 5777, JON HASSLER SYMPOSIUM: TEACHING HASSLER IN THE 21st CENTURY. The fee for this credit is $125 paid to the College of St. Scholastica and does not include the $100 conference fee paid to the Hassler Festival. See Kari at the start of the conference.
